- The Exorcist - In this shocking horror film, a demon possessed 12-year old girl wreaks havoc upon those who encounter her. She speaks in other voices and languages, and at one point in the movie, her head spins completely around. A priest is called in to administer an exorcism to remedy the situation, but performing the powerful ritual leads to his unfortunate demise.
- Halloween- Michael Myers has escaped from a sanitarium a fews days before Halloween, and goes on a killing spree in the town of Haddonfield, Illinois. During the movie, Myers dons a white hockey mask and stalks a group of teens, killing them off one by one. Dr.Loomis, Myer's psychiatrist, tries to track him down and put a stop to the murders, but is too late.
- Nightmare on Elm Street- Four teenagers have disturbing dreams about Freddy Krueger, a hideous, razor-clawed psychopath. When one of the teens is murdered in her dream, she also dies in real-life. Upon discovering this information, the teens realize that they must stay awake to stay alive.
- The Amityville Horror- This movie, based on events that supposedly happened in a house along the coast of Long Island, NY, is about a family who purchases and moves into a home where there has previously been a mass murder. When they have a priest come to bless the house, he encounters unusual happenings that lead to his eventual blindness and mental health issues. Unidentified black ooze bleeds from the walls, the daughter has an evil imaginary friend and the dog senses that there is something in the basement. The terrorized family eventually leaves the house one rainy night leaving all their possessions behind.
- Saw - The jigsaw killer plays a sadistic game with two men he has chained up in a grimy industrial lavatory. Inside this makeshift chamber of torture, lies a dead man in a pool of blood, clutching a tape player. The men have no knowledge of how they got there, but find tapes in their back pockets which contain grisly instructions on what they must do to ensure their survival. Following the killers demands leads to a horrific ending.
