Gabbert Already Impressive

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert is already impressing coaches with his accurate arm, running ability and decision making during his first week of camp despite a lengthy NFL lockout. The Jaguars brass including franchise owner Wayne Weaver and general manager Gene Smith have to be excited seeing their future face of the franchise already dazzling teammates and fans.

What strikes the critics early about Gabbert in the first week of camp is his pocket poise, situational awareness and demeanor for a rookie quarterback coming into the league. Gabbert is already demonstrating the intangibles needed to garner the respect of his teammates inside the locker room by coming to work early and the last to leave, while at the same time understanding his performance on the field will allow him to lead the Jaguars inside the huddle.
